Capoeira is an Afro Brazilian martial art that is hidden in dance and acrobatics. Yoga is a Sanskrit word translated as “yoke” or “union.”  Its aim is to create a union of the body, mind, soul, and universal consciousness. Charlene has been practicing both yoga and capoeira  for over 10 years.

Capoeira Yoga Flow is a fusion of both disciplines. Every class starts with a Vinyasa Flow infused with Capoeira moves and ends with learning an empowering capoeira sequence. You’re gonna feel strong, empowered and ready to take on the world.

Charlene Dipaola

I was born and raised in the Philippines but currently reside in Austin, TX. I've been through a lot of things in my life where I felt alone & powerless. Most recently, I experienced PTSD/A after having my 2nd baby. It hit me by surprise. It was like a dark cloud that won’t go away. Every single time, I have these low points in my life, moving my body is what gets me through and keeps me grounded.
This is where my passion lies. I love helping other women feel their own power through movement. So they can keep going, stay strong and grounded.

I built an online dance community of women who empower each other with Hip Shake Fitness and I’m grateful that I get to live my passion. I have been practicing capoeira and yoga for over a decade and I am so grateful I get to teach classes both online and in person. My most important job is being mom to my 2 little toddlers Teddy and Maya.
