Grateful For Dance WorkoutsHey Babe!! I’m so excited for our new challenge!!! It’s gonna be a great way to get ready for the holidays. One thing that I think we should focus on this time around is gratitude. Gratitude is also a muscle we need to work on and is one of the most powerful human emotion and it comes with benefits too. It can improve physical health, help you achieve happiness and it can even improve your sleep. For this challenge every week we’ve created a workout schedule for you that includes dancing, toning a specific part of your body and a strength challenge. I challenge YOU to follow the schedule as much as you can and dance your heart out! PLUS, we’ve got gratitude exercises that will enlighten you then next 3 weeks. Babe, gratitude turns what we have into enough. So let me start, I’m grateful for our instructors: Diane, Kaleila, Nicole, and Erica for sharing with us their passions for dance. I’m also grateful for YOU, thank you for keeping us by your side through your fitness journey. Lastly, I’m so grateful for this community that we’ve built together and I want you to be able to express gratitude to yourself, your surroundings and to your loved ones too. 1. When does the challenge start?
We’re starting on November 2, 2020! This is a 3 week challenge, but we’ll all be doing it together!
2. Do I need to be a member to join?
YES! You can get some of the workouts for free on our YouTube page but most of the workouts you need dance studio access to get it.
3. Do I need equipment?You will need these for strength training:
- yoga mat
- hand weights
- booty bands
- 1 pilates/playground ball
- chair with backrest
- long resistance bands
4. What if I can’t do the workouts or follow the meal plan?
This challenge is all about you and being grateful about your body and listening to your body is a big part of that. So I encourage you to do what’s best for YOU. We’re all different and that’s totally ok babe. You might do 2 dance workouts or ALL 6 every week, maybe learn 3 recipe or cook ALL! You do you, beautiful.
5. Will there be a prize?
Absolutely! We’re partnering with Blender Bombs for this challenge. The member that does the most workout at the end of the challenge will get:

Planks ChallengeThe strengthening part of our Grateful Dancer comes from our planks challenge. Yes babe, you heard that right… PLANKS. I have a love/hate relationship with planks but we made it fun and created dance-inspired planks to make them less boring. Every week we’re bumping up our plank time and changing plank styles. This is important for strengthening your core and we’ve got a handy strength and plank log so you can keep track of your progress. Check out our dance inspired planks HERE to get started.
GratitudeWe’ve got exciting exercises that I’ve personally used to improve my gratitude practice. I’m excited to share them and do them with you. All around happiness starts with thinking about what you’re grateful for. However small it can be, it makes a big difference in how you go about your day.
