We are beyond excited to welcome Brazilian Warrior Workout to our dance category. This is a fitness workout version of an Afro-Brazilian dance, Maculele, that uses sticks or grimas which the dancers rhythmically strikes together. We can’t wait to see what our adventurous users choose as their grimas! For now, let’s go back to our fierce shoot day in this Brazilian Warrior Workout behind the scenes.

Brazilian Warrior Workout Level 1

I don’t think any of us in the crew were ready for the intensity that Jessica had prepared for Brazilian Warrior Workout level 1. In Brazilian Warrior Workout level 1, we had the lovely Nailah & Rena dancing with Jessica or Pavao as she’s called. A fun difference in this style is the live drumming that Sean provided on the Atabaque or Brazilian hand drum. Live music definitely changed the atmosphere for all of us. Level 1 taught the basics of Maculele and you better believe it’ll make you sweat.

Brazilian Warrior Workout Level 2

People think filming always goes so smoothly. Sometimes it does and sometimes you’re 10 minutes from finishing a segment and your lights stop working. What do you do? Power through and be a warrior. And thank goodness we got through it. For level 2, we had one more dancer come in, Alessandra. Brazilian Warrior Workout is better with more people. Level 2 goes through the basics again and adds more advanced moves that will amaze you because you will be doing them too.

Brazilian Warrior Workout Level 3

What I loved about Brazilian Warrior Workout is that it looked so fun. Even though it also looked hard, I for one can’t wait to try it out at home. This workout is for whoever is up for a big fitness challenge and isn’t afraid to try something new. Now there’s even more advanced moves and techniques used in level 3, but you can always repeat any of the other levels to get the hang of it. And that’s the beauty of Hip Shake Fitness!
