Dance For Freedom

Sex trafficking is a major problem that often goes undiscussed, but is a sensitive topic that we must acknowledge. There are approximately 20 to 30 million slaves in the world, and according to the U.S. State Department, 600,000 to 800,000 people are trafficked across international borders every year, of which 80% are female and half are children. The intention behind Dance for Freedom is to shine some light on this topic through the art of dance.*100% of the proceeds from this event were donated to the organization “Journey Out.” It is a Los Angeles non-profit leading the fight for the freedom and survival of those whose lives have been destroyed by sex trafficking or commercial sexual exploitation.
