Inside The Kickstarter Shoot: Lori – Mom, Clinical Program Supervisor and Grad Student

It was a beautiful Sunday morning in Manhattan Beach and we were excited to film Lori‘s scenes. Lori is a Clinical Program Supervisor and is currently in school to get her Doctorate Degree. She was joined by her two sons, Mason and Laird who were truly wonderful and were natural actors just like their mom!
We had picked up her sons toys earlier and set it up in Charlene‘s living room. The doorbell rings and the fun starts. Mason goes straight up the stairs with no hesitation and mingles with the video crew. Meanwhile, Laird was a little confused at the fact that this house had all the same toys that he has at home. Lori and the boys powered through about 5-6 takes of our Old School Hip Hop workout so we can get all the shots we needed. During the breakfast scene, we asked Mason and Laird to “act out” and they did not disappoint. They had so much fun yelling and making funny faces at their mom that sometimes they got carried away, but Lori kept her composure and we kept rolling. It was very inspirational to see Lori work the camera and over see her kids at the same time. She is a true definition of a SUPERMOM!
