We wouldn’t be here without our moms. They go through so much to give us a good life and work hard so that we can live comfortably. Moms are good at loving unconditionally and of course, taking care of their families.
She is a kickass software engineer and mom to her son, Isaiah. This mother and son duo trained in the art of Capoeira for many years. Nya trained for over 10 years, while Isaiah started at 2 years old. How cool is that? Unfortunately, due to a health condition she had to stop but the bond that they’ve created through Capoeira will remain forever.
Singing is a past time that they both share and love. Nya is currently teaching her son how to harmonize. She also has “Heart & Soul” times with Isaiah where he gets at least 10 minutes a day doing an activity of his choice like drawing, coloring, watching his favorite TV shows and even playing FIFA 16!
She is our founder, Charlene, and yours truly’s mom. I’ve known my mom all my life and she’s the most hard working woman I’ve come across to this day. She gave up her successful medical practice in the Philippines to provide us a better life here in the United States. We’re definitely very lucky!
We love to travel together and explore new places by foot so we can eat all the sweets we can get our hands on. My mom is not afraid of new experiences like being a backup dancer for our fitness dance videos or playing drums in a band with me and my sister: Nacho Lips 2016. She definitely has her game face on all the time and that inspires me to not be afraid of anything.

Favorite song to dance to with Isaiah
“Since Isaiah was young our favorite song to rock out to is “When Dove’s Cry” by Prince. It makes me sad when I think about it, we have truly lost a legend….”Meet Myriam
