Happy Thanksgiving! It’s been such a wonderful year of dancing and getting healthy together. We’ve got a few weeks left before the end of the year so let’s finish it strong!
I cannot believe that 2018 is almost done. I have so much to be thankful for! First off, I am so grateful to EVERY SINGLE BABE in the Hip Shake Fitness squad. From our instructors, videographers and most importantly our members. Every single one of you brings so much joy to me and my life. I love getting to know everyone’s stories. I love how open everyone is about sharing their personal story. This has become my safe space where I know that I won’t be judged, instead I will be supported by you babes. I want to especially thank my sister Anne who has been in this journey with me for 2 years now. I love working with you. YOU bring so much compassion and love to the team. I love how much you care about all our dance studio members. I love all the ideas that you come up with! Most especially, I love how dependable you are. You are the one that makes everything happen on time. All the dance instructors in our team (Nicole, Ashley, Diane, Zen, Erica, Jessica, Ally, Matt) are such boss babes. I am truly lucky to work with this powerful squad of women! I do want to give a special shoutout to Diane who has been a support for me professionally but also personally. Thank you for being such a positive light in my life. For helping me keep the faith and for sharing Hip Shake Fitness with everyone!! There are 2 members who have really touched my heart this year, Irene and Djuke. Your dedication to living healthier and making positive changes in your life has inspired me and keeps me going. You are both so different but at the same time, you both keep it real. I’m so grateful to have developed my relationship with both of you this year! I want to thank my dad for inspiring me to live a healthier life by being the #1 example. You eat so well and you can do 10 unassisted pull-ups at 64 years old! Wow you are truly goals. My mom for always being so hopeful and positive and being there every single time I need her. It can be dancing for Hip Shake Fitness or helping me in dealing with pain during or after fertility treatments. Lastly, I want to thank my husband Todd who is super supportive of my crazy ideas and all the I do but at the same time is a steady hand that makes sure I keep my feet on the ground and count my pennies. I love you babe and couldn’t imagine my life without you!

This year there are so many people in my life that I’d like to express my deepest thanks to. It’s been a year of growing, finding my purpose in life and in the community and of course, dancing. Thank you to my sister, Charlene, for keeping me in this fabulous tribe and letting me grow in the social media world. We’ve been working together for almost 2 years straight now and it’s nothing short of awesome. My mom, always game when we need her for a dance shoot and always supportive of my dreams and smaller dreams. I would literally not be here without her! I want to say thank you to the community of hip shakers on our Facebook group. You ladies ROCK. I’m so inspired by all of your ideas, #mugshotmundays, stories and personalities. I strive to be a better person because of you. Lastly, I want to say thank you to my bae, Mark and my dog, Bo. This tag team of positive support never fails to help keep my head up. This year has been an amazing journey, I’ve enjoyed dancing with all of you. I’m grateful that I get to be crazy creative for work and that I know it serves a purpose to help others. Thanks for tuning in to our cooking videos, Q&A’s and of course, our dance workouts. I’m excited for what 2019 will bring so let’s run to it and never look back, except when we’re twerking ??
