Twerking Classes For Beginners

WAP Challenge, is the latest dance challenge taking the internet by storm. It’s a pretty impressive dance choreography created by dancer Brian Esperon that revolves around twerk dance moves to Cardi B’s WAP. If you want to try learning this challenge, stick around and read on. So you really want to learn this challenge but you don’t know how to twerk? You’ve come to the right place. I’ll be showing you twerk videos that will help you get acquainted with twerk moves and help you maneuver through the WAP challenge. Even if you’ve taken a twerk class before, these videos will help you improve your twerk game and maybe learn a few new moves and tricks along the way. Twerk Basics

For my beginner twerk cuties, start with this 101 class. Nicole will teach you the most basic moves like the Shaky Leg and the Knee In twerk. Practice these moves over and over again so you can get comfortable with how twerking feels on your body.

Booty Pop Back

This twerk video will help you really pop your booty out. The WAP challenge is all also about stamina and by taking this class you will improve your technique and your endurance. I say start slow with the Booty Pop Back so that you can really emphasis the move and then start doing it faster and faster.

Booty Shimmy

Now that you’ve learned some beginner twerk moves, why not try a full routine? Nicole’s routines always repeat so you have a few tries to perfect the moves. I recommend watching the full video first and then learning by verse. Watch for the Booty Shimmies on 1:41, this move will help you with the challenge.

Push Up Twerk

Hands down, one of my favorite twerk move is the Push Up Twerk. When I take a twerk dance class, I always look forward to learning a challenging move and this was one of them. Honestly, the more you practice the more natural it will feel. Find it in this Thotiana routine starting on the 1:03 mark.

WAP Challenge Breakdown

If you want a full WAP challenge breakdown from our Booty Queen, Nicole, she posted a 30 minute workout on her Instagram. So you’ll tone those glutes first before learning the routine.
